Wow! What a building. The Pier hotel was first built in 1905, which was burnt down in 1914 and then rebuilt. The Pier Hotel has long been one of Coffs most recognisable landmarks.
Working closely with the owner and operator of the Pier, the Binet constructions team renovated the buildings lower level from almost front to back. The owner put a lot of emphasis on repurposing original removed timber members throughout the project.
Binet constructions partnered with a number of highly skilled local contractors to ensure we all achieved the owners vision for the historic building.
The project presented a number of challenges where the team worked closely with engineers to overcome complex structural upgrades due to the buildings age and materials used in the original construction. A majority of these structural members were replaced and upgraded all whilst the hotel accommodation above remained undisturbed.
